Things we commonly find during network assessments include:
- Outdated Equipment: If your network is extra slow or experiencing a lot of glitches, it could mean that your system is due for an update. Outdated equipment can lead to bogged-down systems and security vulnerabilities.
- Poor Configuration: Network assessments can reveal if your system is set up to work for you in the most efficient way possible. For example, sometimes, every end-user is set up as a system administrator, and other times the password requirements aren’t strong enough on the whole.
- No Patch Management: Our network assessments often show that systems aren’t adequately managing their patches, exposing networks to external security threats. Patch management involves staying on top of OS updates, virus protection, browser updates, and app updates.
- Flat Network Topology: Network assessments analyze your network topology maps and can provide a roadmap that guides decisions regarding maintenance and upgrades. If your network topology is too flat, an assessment can point out ways to create a more dynamic topology.
